Misty Mountain Forestry’s mission is to properly manage private landowners' forest, whether their stand of timber is large or small.
This includes; wildfire mitigation through fuels reduction, thinning, selective harvest logging, burning, and weed prevention.
A forest is living, and it requires a continuation of these services through its lifespan as it evolves over time.
There is responsibility that comes with being a landowner.
Responsible forest management involves a stewardship plan that accounts for every component in the ecosystem. Forestry doesn't only account for trees, but native wildlife and plant ranges as well.
Here in Montana, our forests face a wide range of challenges including, overgrowth and rapidly spreading diseases. These factors contribute significantly to the intensity of wildfires and widespread loss of habitat.
When living in the urban wildland interface, it becomes our responsibility to protect our lands and homes from these threats.
